The National Bank of Belarus creates Coordinating Council for banking

The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) has decided to set up the Coordinating
Council for banking information technologies, an official with the NBB
information department told on May 18.
The Council will coordinate the activity of banks and other Belarusian
organizations aimed at information provision of the country’s banking
sector, the official said.
In particular, the Council is expected to consider unification of software
and communication means to increase the flexibility of control systems, as
well as the level of information provision.
The first meeting of the Council is to be held in late May 2004.
