Belarusian Companies Took Part in CeBIT-2005
International exhibition CeBIT-2005 has come to its end in Hannover,
Germany.
Belarus took part in this forum devoted to computing novelties, sharing a
200 square meter stand with Russia and the Ukraine. Developments from the
Technology Park of the Belarusian National Technical University — Metolit —
were on display. The show should help promote their products to Northern
American and Eastern European markets, building on last year’s export of
IT-services (Belarus, Russia and Ukraine’s combined efforts made almost $800
million).
The
annual CeBIT exhibition is one of the biggest and most important in the
world — often called an Olympiad of ideas and solutions and an “event for
those who rely on information technology”. This year, the forum was divided
into three directions: Business Processes, Communications and Digital
Equipment and Systems. For the first time, visitors were able to see
pavilions devoted to digital photo and image processing, navigation systems
and maps. Computer games were not neglected as the World Cyber Games-2005
forum took place as part of the exhibition.
