Belarus’
GDP 8.1 Percent Up in 2007 to about $45 Billion
In 2007,
Belarus’ gross domestic product totaled Br96 trillion in current prices or
about $45 billion, 8.1 percent up on 2006, the Ministry of Statistics and
Analysis informed. Last year the GDP was expected to go up by 8-9 percent.
The share
of the industry’s added value in the GDP amounted to 26.7 percent, that of
transport and communications – 8.6 percent, trade and public catering
– 10.2 percent, civil engineering – 8.5 percent, agriculture – 7.4 percent.
In
January-November 2007, labor productivity calculated using the gross
domestic product equaled 107.7 percent as against the same period of 2006.
