Recuperation of Belarusian Children Abroad
At
present, the Department of Humanitarian Activity of the Presidential Affairs
Administration and the Ministry of Education of Belarus consider introducing
possible changes and amendments to the Decree of the President of Belarus on
Recuperation of Children Abroad (the text of the Decree and the comments on
it are available at the Embassy website in Humanitarian Section).
It
is likely that schoolchildren of first grades will be allowed to go abroad
for recuperation during academic year without restrictions. Preferable
period of recuperation of children of grades 5-11 will be during holidays.
At the same time, the Department and the Ministry of Education reserve the
right to apply individual approach in considering the approval for departure
of groups of children of medium and high grades for recuperation abroad.
Pending the consideration of possible changes to the Decree, the procedure
of recuperation of children abroad will be governed by the existing Decree.
