JSC Slavneft
JSC Slavneft was founded in 1994 under the ordinance of Government of Russia
and Belarus. As of today, this is the only company which enterprises
successfully operate in the both owning countries.
The State Property Committee of the RF owns 55,27% of Slavneft's shares, the
Russian Federal Property Fund (RFPF) 19,68%, the Ministry of the State
Property of the Republic of Belarus 10,8%.
JSC Slavneft is a vertically integrated company which affiliates provide
complete cycle of production from exploration of hydrocarbons reserves to
sales of final oil products.
JSC Slavneft, being one of the most promising and dynamically developing
companies, is strongly positioned on the Russian-Belarusian and world oil
markets and deemed trustworthy by its foreign partners.
JSC Slavneft constantly develops its resource base: the total geological oil
reserves of the Company exceed 20 billion barrels. The volume of oil
production in 1999 surpassed one for the previous year and amounted to 85.7
million barrels.
JSC Slavneft is a member of the International Oil Club and International Oil
Congress. The Company takes active part in international exhibitions,
conferences and seminars. The Company is registered with the UN Central
Database of Suppliers .
Striving for the accomplishment of its plans of modernization and
reconstruction of production facilities, JSC Slavneft makes effective use of
the long-term loans taken under the guarantees of leading international
financial institutions.
At the present stage of its development, the Company sees its main goals in
further optimization of its structure in order to reduce non-productive
costs and increase effectiveness of all its assets.
Additionally, one of the main tasks of JSC Slavneft is to ensure effective
management of the holding of shares of the Company's constituents and
optimize the management structure of the Company.
Information about participation of russian-byelorussian oil company
"Slavneft" in the reconstruction of Mozyr Oil Refinery Plant (ORP).
Starting with 1995 the "Slavneft" company in cooperation with enterprise
"Mozyr ORP" and "Belneftehim" concern organises the reconstruction of Mozyr
oil refinery plant (ORP). After it the plant will become one of the leader
enterprises in its branch, which produce the goods of world quality standard
level. "Slavneft" company carries out this activity according to the
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and "Slavneft"
company (27.09.2000).
Today the first two stages of reconstruction are finished. The third one
will allow to include in the technological scheme the process of catalitical
cracking. The fourth stage is the most expensive. It includes the
construction of a complex of catalitical cracking with 2 mln tons per year
output, what allows to achieve the depth of oil conversion of 83-84% (in
2000 year -- 62,3%).
It is important to note, that the construction of such a complex is the
biggest project in the Republic of Belarus carried out with attraction of
Russian investors capital assets.
The fourth stage of the reconstruction requires approximately 120-140 mln
USD. Currently the amount of "Slavneft" investments into the project is more
than 16 mln USD. To buy the equipment, which is not produced in CIS
countries, "Slavneft" has got the credit of 26 mln EURO in one of German
banks.
To provide Mozyr ORP with raw material, "Slavneft" guarantees the delivery
of oil during 2000-2003 not less than 3,5 tons per year.
Distribution network of petrol filling stations
JSC Slavneft has a well- developed sales and distribution network for oil
products. The Company owns about 200 petrol filling stations in various
regions of Russia and 10 petrol filling complexes in Belarus. 35 oil
storages make part of the assets of Slavneft's affiliates.
The Company sells oil products of its refineries through affiliated selling
companies: JSC Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteproduct, JSC
Slavneft-Ivanovonefteproduct, JSC Slavneft-Kostromanefteproduct, CJSC
Slavneft - St. Petersburg, CJSC Slavneft - Centrnefteproduct.
In 1999, NGC Slavneft sold via its own distribution network in Belarus - 100
thousand tons of oil products. In Belarus, the distribution company Slavneft
- Start retails oil products through 27 petrol filling stations, owning 24
of them. Only three years have passed since the foundation of the joint
venture, but on such a short notice, Slavneft-Start has managed to win a
renown among its partners and customers. Petrol filling stations are built
by a special construction unit. Having an opportunity to invest in the
development of its infrastructure, Slavneft - Start draws well- founded
plans to grow. In the nearest future, new petrol filling stations will
appear in Minsk, Brest and Grodno Regions. By mid-2003, Slavneft - Start
will have built in Belarus 50 petrol filling stations and 10 oil storages.
