"Maersk Medical" Ltd. has been operating in Belarus since December 1992.
Originally it was JV "BelcarePlast", where the manufacturing of single-use
syringes and catheters was organized. The company "Maersk Medical A/C",
which is a part of a multinational corporation "AP Moeller Group", has
become a contributor of the enterprise in 1995.
Because of permanent expansion, FE "Maersk Medical" Ltd. decided to build a
new plant in Fanipol, Minsk region. In June 1999 the object was taken into
operation.

"Maersk Medical" Ltd. Manufactures and use single-use sterile medical
devices for hospitals and home care of patients. The products are
distributed on local, CIS markets and via other businesses worldwide. More
than 75% of the production is exported.
The
product quality meets all relevant international regulations, including ISO
9002 certification (standart a Å-46002 for medical devices production). The
enterprise is exclusively included in the list of high-technology production
plants of the Republic of Belarus. At present there are approximately 200
employees at the enterprise.
It
is the intention of the company to continue high-technology production
development with speed dictated by products demands locally and
internationally.
The
business unit in Belarus may also develop further as a platform for new
product development, taking into consideration the scientific potential of
the human resources of the country.
