The FEZ Grodnoinvest consists of three isolated land plots with the total area of 377 hectares and is situated on transportation motor and railway routes which connect Western and Central Europe and Scandinavian countries with regions of the Baltic states, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova. The FEZ Grodnoinvest is located near international border passageways into the Republic of Poland and the Lithuanian Republic.

As of the beginning of 2004, 19 residents were registered in the FEZ Grodnoinvest, including 16 with foreign capital. Of those, 6 residents completed the equipment setup stage and started operations and manufacturing. The total cost of implemented projects (declared investments) amounts to some US$ 20 million. In 2003, 2.2 million were attracted, including 1.7 million in foreign investments. Currently, 485 people are employed at resident enterprises. About 300 new jobs were created. The foreign trade turnover in 2003 exceeded US$ 14 million, including exports of US$ 7.5 million, and imports of US$ 6.6 million. More than 90% of manufactured products are exported

The most attractive industries for residents of the FEZ Grodnoinvest include the production of construction materials, machine-building and metal-working, food, consumer goods, chemical and petrochemical, wood working industries and transportation (services to repair heavy-duty vehicles). Investments into the FEZ are coming from Poland, Israel, USA, Lithuania, Sweden, Russia, Denmark. The FEZ Grodnoinvest is also attractive for Belorussian investors.

Availability of a diversified production infrastructure, required transportation and engineering support capabilities, developed communications and land plots suitable for new construction in prospective industrial development areas, trained and relatively inexpensive labor force – all these advantages make the FEZ Grodnoinvest attractive for potential investors.
