Expansion of Belarusian confectionery exports to Panama and Latin America

Kommunarka JSC Deputy Director, Galina Padyunas, tells us that an agreement was reached after Kommunarka, Spartak and Krasny Mozyryanin attended an international exhibition called EXPOCOMER-2005 held in Panama.

The five Belarusian stands were amongst the most popular. Ambassador of Belarus to the USA and Mexico, Mikhail Khvostov, took part in the official opening of the exhibition along with Panama dignitaries.

Kommunarka and Spartak confectioneries are well known in Latin American markets through the distributor, Desli, which has promoted pilot supplies of their goods throughout Panama and Latin America. Agreements have been reached with Agencia Publimar and the largest food company in the Western hemisphere, Quality Tropical Services, which has demonstrated growing interest in Kommunarka and Spartak sweets. These companies plan to purchase large consignments of the much-loved confectionery — thus bringing profitable export sales.

Wholesale company Ribas Smith has also shown interest in purchasing Belarusian confectionery. Preliminary agreements have been reached on exporting large supplies of Belarusian sweets to Panama and Latin America in the near future. The Panamanian government has guaranteed unhindered promotion of the Belarusian products on their market.
