UNICEF marked the 20th anniversary of Chernobyl this year
by putting cameras into the hands of children affected by the disaster.
On the occasion of the 20th
Anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster the Chernobyl Committee of Belarus
together with UNICEF organized a photography master class for Chernobyl
children affected by the disaster from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
The exhibition of the photographs was
organized on March 19, 2006 in the Art Gallery of the Palace of the
Republic in Minsk. The photos were acclaimed at both national and
international levels. Chernobyl Committee is now organizing exhibitions
of the photographs in different countries.
